This is why all of our shows are free to attend.” Sitting Chair of the PRISM Creative Board, Michael Prince said. “The story of August: Osage County is too important to keep behind a paywall, and due to the generosity of our community, the dedication of our cast, crew, and board we’re able to make this show happen with no cost to our attendees.”
About the Play
August: Osage County is rated “R” and is not suitable for children.
“A father who has vanished. A pill-popping mother. Three sisters harboring shady little secrets. When the large Weston family unexpectedly reunites after their father disappears, their Oklahoman family homestead explodes in a maelstrom of repressed truths and unsettling secrets. Mix in Violet, the drugged-up, scathingly acidic matriarch, and you’ve got a play that unflinchingly – and uproariously – exposes the dark side of the Midwestern American family. Pulitzer and Tony Award-winning, August: Osage County is a modern masterpiece.” – Concord Theatricals
“’August: Osage County’ is one of the most brilliant and honest plays in recent history. It doesn’t flinch from the truth, but it brings enough laughs that we can face it.” said Director, Jeremiah Reeve.
